i was going through some old unpublished posts on my seldom updated blogspot account when i found this. it must have felt a bit too chicken-soup-for-the-soul at the time so i never published it. but here it is, advice i would give myself, gathered from too many break ups gone awry.

1. it is always important to end a relationship with dignity and grace.

2. it is too draining to think about what ifs. believe that you have done and said all that could be done and said.

3. it is too draining to be consumed by frustration and hate. and needless.

4. a relationship allows you to discover things about yourself through another person. reflect on this and grow.

5. being in a relationship, or out of one, is just a situation, none is inferior to the other. seize the moments that come with both, and you will never find life lacking.
